The "Bulk & Brighten" Strategy
- Scan Check: Before opening your soup, scan the barcode. We are looking for "Clean Label" soups—no phosphoric acid or potassium additives.
- Dilute: Add 2 tablespoons of water or unsalted broth to the soup to reduce the concentration of salt per bite.
- Upgrade: Add frozen peas or diced carrots to increase the fiber and volume of the meal.
- Season: stir in dried herbs as you heat the soup. Do not add salt during heating.
- Finish: Squeeze a lemon wedge over the hot soup right before eating. Use a tiny pinch of salt at the table only if needed.
