Swicko & Souro is an educational, behavioral wellness tool. It is NOT a medical device.
The translations, visual units, mascot responses, and recipe categorizations provided by Swicko & Souro are designed solely to simplify the understanding of general nutrition labels. The service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or any other medical condition.
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or scanned on this website. Always consult with your physician, nephrologist, or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet.
1. Assumption of Risk and Database Accuracy
Our translator relies on external public databases (such as Open Food Facts) to retrieve nutrition label information. By using the Scanner tool, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Data Inaccuracies: The food databases we query are crowdsourced and may contain inaccuracies, missing data, or outdated nutritional profiles.
- No Guarantee: Swicko & Souro does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any scan result. Mislabeled data could result in our mascots incorrectly displaying a "Lower Risk" or "Higher Risk" state.
- Ultimate Responsibility: You are ultimately responsible for reading the physical label on the packaging and consulting your medical provider. You agree that Swicko & Souro shall not be held liable for any damages, health events, or losses resulting from your reliance on the tool's output.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
The "Swicko" and "Souro" characters, the "Liquid Shield" brand visuals, the Bento-box UI methodologies, and all related logos, graphics, text, audio, and music are the exclusive property of the Swicko & Souro project. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer these specific visual assets, audio tracks, or methodologies without explicit written permission.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Swicko & Souro for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You agree NOT to:
- Rapidly scrape or abuse the scanner interface leading to API rate-limiting issues for our external providers.
- Use the Website to provide clinical or medical advice to third parties.
- Attempt to bypass or manipulate "Swicko's Translation" logic or any gamified point caps for alternative uses.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. SWICKO & SOURO EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ACCURATE.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SWICKO & SOURO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES; OR (B) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICES.
